Buildings and Grounds

“We can never have enough of nature…”

Wisconsin Christian Youth Camp operates on 450 acres of beautiful Wisconsin forest. Robinson Creek cuts through the middle of the grounds.

We have 13 sleeper-cabins, a state-certified kitchen and dining hall, a tornado-shelter bathhouse, a nurse's cabin, multiple meeting spaces, and various other structures that are critical to our day-to-day operations.

One point of note... Many other summer youth camps offer rather posh amenities, such as carpeted lodging, air conditioning, horseback riding, kayaking, high-ropes courses, and the like.

WCYC is a bit more humble than that. In fact, the word "rustic" would be a fair descriptor. Rather than being disappointed about this, we find this to be one of the most endearing traits of WCYC.

Thus, any would-be camper should be forewarned: It is not uncommon for Mother Nature to encroach on our space. Campers will find the occasional spider in their cabins, along with moths, and other bugs. Even the occasional mouse is not too alarming. And, outside...? Well, mosquitoes and ticks seem to thrive in Wisconsin forests. We consider our camping experience consistent with what you would expect if you were tent-camping in a state park.

That being said... we love our camp.
